Wordcade has no accounts. You never sign up, and you never tell us your name. Almost everything the game knows about you stays on your phone and never reaches us. This page covers the exceptions.
Your streaks and tokens, your stats, your themes, your daily results: all of it is written to your browser's local storage, under keys that start with wa:. We cannot read any of it. It stays there until you clear it.
Clearing your browsing data deletes it. So does playing in a private window. The home screen has a backup option that produces a rescue code, and that code is the only way to carry progress to another device or bring it back after a wipe.
Tap the report link under a puzzle and we receive three things: which puzzle you were on, whatever you typed, and the version number of the game. The support form adds an email address, but only if you fill that field in yourself. We use it to write back, and for nothing else.
Both go through a Google Form into a spreadsheet that only we can open. We do not sell them and we do not send you marketing.
Ads are what make the game free. We use Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies to serve ads and measure them, and in some places to personalise them based on sites you have visited before.
Google explains what it does with that data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Your own ad settings live at adssettings.google.com.
Anyone visiting from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland sees a consent message before personalised ads run. Saying no is fine. The whole game still works, with generic ads instead of tailored ones.
Buying Remove Ads switches all of it off.
Remove Ads is sold through Gumroad, which acts as the merchant of record. Card details are typed into Gumroad's checkout, never into Wordcade, and we never see them.
When you paste an unlock code into the game, that code alone goes to our server, which asks Gumroad whether the purchase is real and has not been refunded. Nothing else about you is sent. Gumroad's policy is at gumroad.com/privacy.
Netlify hosts the site and keeps ordinary server logs, IP addresses included, in the same way as any website you load. Their policy is at netlify.com/privacy.
The game suits any age. There is no signup, so we collect nothing about anybody, children included. If a child has typed something personal into the support form, write to us and we will delete it.
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
